14/06/2017. London, UK. The scene of a huge fire at Grenfell tower block in White City near Notting Hill, London. The blaze engulfed the 24-storey building (containing 120 apartments) with 200 firefighters and 40 fire engines attending the scene. There were reports of people trapped in the building, many not finding a way out. London Fire Brigade declared it a major incident and unprecedented in modern times.

7 May 2016; The Louvre, Paris, France. Emmanuel Macron is elected president beating his opponent Marine Le Penn of the Front National 66%-33%. Macron will appoint a prime minster and cabinet to to his newly formed party En Marche! in the days come.

14 May 2017: Hotel de Ville, Paris, France. Emmanuel Macron on the day of his presidential inauguration visits the sitting mayor of Paris, Ann Hildago (of the Socialist Party), at Hotel de Ville. The president and his wife Brigitte greeted the crowds before entering a closed session with the Mayor as is customary, emerging later to address the nation on television.
