Mr Ron Wilkinson was a Lance Corporal in the Worcesterhire and Sherwood Foresters - an army infantry regiment between 1969 and 1984. He served several tours o duty in Northern Ireland through the worst of the "troubles". He now suffers from a form of post-traumatic stress disorder. She has written a booklet for teachers and the education world about dealing with cancer in children with the help of her Mother Heather Blunt who is a teacher. The illustrations were done by Chris Burke who lost a young son to cancer himself. Photographs taken at the offices of CLC Sargent - a children's cancer charity who have published the booklet both in hard copy and downloadable PDF format on the internet.
