Having completed her degree at the University of Leeds, British photographer Susannah Ireland then started her photojournalistic career studying for the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) Press Photography/ Photojournalism course at Sheffield College in the UK. She then spent just over a year at Birmingham-based news agency News Team International covering a variety of news, features and sports assignments from page three to premiership football. In 2007 she moved to London to embark on a placement for The Times newspaper after winning their Times Tabasco Young Photographer of The Year competition in 2007. Now based in Delhi in India, Susannah continues to freelance for a variety of editorial and commercial clients and is available for commission both within India and the South East Asian region. Susannah is a regular editorial contributor to national newspapers The Times and The Independent/ Independent on Sunday, as well as having images published in The Guardian, Der Spiegel, The Sunday Times, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Wall Street Journal and work syndicated throughout the world via Eyevine Agency.
