Interested in joining The BPPA?

Who should join?

Any photographer working full time for the British news media who wants to help to promote our profession is eligible to join. The membership policy of the Association was formulated to make sure that it is both inclusive and representative of the profession. WE don’t have any part-time or student memberships, but we do our best to provide advice and support to those working to join the industry.

How much does it cost?

The monthly fee is set by a General Meeting each year and is currently £5.99.

What you get in return

Once you have been accepted as a member of The BPPA and have paid your subscription you will be part of a body working towards a greater recognition of our profession. On top of that you will be able to have your own page on this web site and be part of the photographer search database that we have developed. You will be entitled to submit work for consideration for any books or exhibitions that we are able to plan. Members are eligible for a range of discounts from some key suppliers and for other services provided exclusively for them. You will also be invited to various social functions and meetings and be free to get as involved in the work of the association as you wish.

What happens next?

If your application is successful you will get a receipt for your payment and then you are a member. You will receive a “welcome” email, be given a membership number, start to receive our regular newsletters and become eligible for all member benefits.
If you have any questions about The BPPA in general or about joining, please have a good look around this website and our Facebook Page and don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at [email protected]
