David White
Senior lecturer, press and editorial photography.
I am a senior lecturer in press and editorial photography at Falmouth University. I started my career as an NCTJ junior press photographer on the Leicester Mercury in 1989. Upon gaining senior photographer status I left the newspaper to work freelance. Since then I have travelled the world in pursuit of stories and features, having had my work published in over 80 countries. I have been represented by various agencies over the years, from Rex to Polaris, Eyevine to Katz. I am the only photographer to have been a contributing editor to Marie Claire UK, for my reportage. I have some of those awards things, including a World Press. I co-founded duckrabbit and recently became course leader of the press and editorial photography BA(Hons) degree at Falmouth university. I now am a senior lecturer on the same course, pursuing my research interests and trying to find effective ways for students to communicate across a new media landscape. I'd love to hear from you.
