
A member of staff walks in front of Vincent van Gogh's 'The Courtyard of the Hospital in Arles (1889)' (L) and 'A Ward in the Hospital at Arles (1889)' (R) paintings at The Courtauld Gallery in Somerset House, London displayed as part of the new exhibition Goya to Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Oskar Reinhart Collection. The paintings are the only known depiction by the Dutch Post-Impressionist artist of the hospital in Arles, southern France, where he stayed after mutilating his ear. The exhibition runs from 14 Feb Ð 26 May 2025.
